The Grotta dell\u2019Edera, a spectacular natural cave, is a must-visit for anyone who loves hiking or simply wants to experience a truly unique spot. And for passionate climbers, this iconic cave offers some of the most breath taking and challenging <strong>routes in the region<\/strong>, making it a highlight of any Finale adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to reach Grotta dell&#8217;Edera<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-92bb8ff1 wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/6bpump.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760341591682-768x1024.jpg ,https:\/\/6bpump.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760341591682.jpg 780w, https:\/\/6bpump.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760341591682.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/6bpump.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760341591682.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Grotta dell'Edera\" class=\"uag-image-1022\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" title=\"Grotta dell'Edera\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">From Finale Ligure drive to the Chapel Madonna delle Grazie, a small building on the side of the road. You can park along the road before or after the chapel. Opposite the chapel is a small bridge, cross it to reach the Agriturismo and take the bath behind it. The path goes through the woods and is initially marked with two red diamonds. After 15\/20 minutes you reach the famous climbing area called Tre Frati. Continue along the path, now marked with 3 red dots for approximately 15 minutes (the path goes up and down) until you reach a higher point with a signpost. From here descend along the path and take the second path on the right after 100 meters. You will shortly find a crossing: on the right side you can take the higher path, marked with a yellow square, which takes you to the top of Grotta dell&#8217;edera. If you descend on the left side you will soon find the entrance of the cave on the right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Following the higher path make sure you have climbing gear to rappel, as to enter the cave you will have to abseil for 15 meters. If you choose the path on the left you will climb up through the entrance of the cave, following some metal chains and metal steps. The cave is quite dark and you will need some light source to move safely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Climbing inside the cave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There are many fantastic climbing routes inside the cave. The grades start from 6b: there are 2 or 3 6b routes but all the others are harder. You can find a list of lines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gulliver.it\/itinerari\/grotta-delledera-falesia\/\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abseiling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">You can reach the bottom of the cave with a short abseil from the higher path. If you want to try another amazing experience you can carefully reach the top of the cave by scrambling up the arch. At the top there is a tree with a point for abseiling. You can descend from here, for approximately 20 meters, surrounded by the curved sides of this amazing cave.
