Falesia Tre Frati is one of the most famous places in the area of Finale Ligure. It’s a beautiful crag with very peculiar rock formations. The “three friars” are pillars of rock that stand out from the forest. You can find quite a few routes here ranging from 5b to 7a.
From here you can take the path to another spectacular place, a must see for climbers and non climbers alike. Grotta dell’Edera is definitely worth a visit: https://6bpump.com/grotta-dell-edera-spectacular-cave-finale-ligure-hiking-climbing/
How to get to Tre Frati
The easiest way to reach the crag from Finale Ligure is to drive to the Chapel Madonna delle Grazie, a small building on the side of the road. You can park along the road before or after the chapel, there are a few spots where the road is wide and you can leave the car here. Opposite the chapel is a small bridge; cross it to reach the Agriturismo and take the bath behind it. The path goes through the woods and is initially marked with two red diamonds. After 15/20 minutes you reach the famous climbing area.
